Disabling everything (sound, video) allows me to get up till the character select screen, and afterward when I press "OK", it freezes. I minimize the game and I see a smacker error box. Since this happens before I can start an actual game, I can't make a save point of it. Also, if this helps pinpoint the problem: everything seems to be sped up in the character select screen. The cursor's arrows spin much faster (about 2-3x) and the clouds go by in the background at the same advanced speed. Help?
