Original Message:   Have you turned down your sound acceleration?
That should fix the choppy sound. Go to Start -> Run and enter 'dxdiag'. Go to the Sound tab and slide Sound Acceleration down to either none or basic.

But the Smacker error should have been corrected by Mok's patch. Perhaps there's something in your configuration settings that's causing that. Just a guess.
