1. Get to the place you want a screen shot of. 2. Press the "printscreen" button. 3. Bring up MS Paint. 4. Go to Edit>Paste in MS Paint. 5. You may be asked if you want to enlarge the work area. If so, say "yes." 6. Your screen shot will appear in Paint. 7. Save the screen shot (it will be a bitmap - you can pull it into any image editing program and convert to another format and/or crop it).

If you have Microsoft Photo Editor, you can just paste it directly into there from the printscreen clipboard, and bypass MS Paint.
