Original Message:   I know this problem
What you got is a corrupted save file. I'm assuming that you have had a save file there before. What you need to do is go to the Start menu, open Run, Browse for your Might and Magic VII folder...usually at C:/Program Files/3DO/Might and Magic VIII. C:/ being the hard drive you installed the game onto.

Then open the Saves folder and tell the Run to show all files.

You'll find save000.mm7, which would be your autosave file. After that is the other save files in order that you see them on the loading screen.

Assuming that you only have one save file, the only other file you see is save001.mm7. Delete that file.

You should now be able to save games.

If there is more than one file, go into the game and load up the game. You will find that there is a blank game that doesn't say Empty. That is the save file. Count from the top starting at 0. That number will be the corrupted save file. For example, if the blank slot is third from the top, then your save002.mm7 file is corrupted and needs to be deleted.

Hope that helps.
