Going solo does not sound very smart. But if you are determined, and know you will play a druid as your primary character, than I would suggest either human or elf. Elf recieves higher inteligence and at party creation takes less to raise it (thus giving the druid higher manna). The Human recieves no penalty, and thus will be more likely to start with more hit points. Which ever race you choose, as a druid at party creation I would max out Personality, Intelligance, accuracy, speed, and luck. The stats of the other three if neccessary, but those will be your most important stats early on.
