Just wondering if anyone else had tried soloing in MM4/MM5:World of Xeen (or MM3:Isles of Terra for that matter). Any recommended classes for this? I'm thinking a ranger, but maybe a paladin or archer would be better. I know I want a hybrid, anyway.

And the issue that I'm especially interested in, any way around the problem where you have to have TWO characters in your party with mountaineering and pathfinding?

I guess I could always have two characters instead of one, and that would solve the spell issue also since I'd take a paladin and an archer. But I really want to solo, if possible, and not having pathfinding and mountaineering work would be annoying.
