Original Message:   Forget about what the MM7 game installer says....
Click on Start, then Run. Type in 'dxdiag' and hit Enter. The opening tab will tell you your current version of DX. If it's DX8 then you'll want to make sure it's 8.1. If it's DX9 then you'll want version 9.0c.

You can't uninstall DirectX unless you're a computer guru.
