I remember that Acid Burst was documented as physical damage. It's supposed to be that way. MM6 doesn't organize damage and resistance by air/water/earth/fire. It categorizes them by fire/cold/electrical/poison/magic/physical/energy. I think that changed in MM7 and 8.
