Stats are nice, but not the end all and be all. What I am telling you is that the people that want to stop capitol punishment are very well funded. They have been reviewing cases for decades and have yet to come up with one concrete case. If they do, it will be trumpeted all over the world as they do with all American short comings. As to that last two lines, they are silly. Of couse they take more care over capitol cases and appeals going on for 12 or more years. Many for 20 years. They hold a special trial just to decide if death is the punishment. I already stated convinctions are over turned, hence not perfect so don't waste time on it. Who is looking at a case once it is close, at least a dozen organizations do just that. They are anti capitol punishment groups mostly. Also we have several that work on freeing people of lessor charges and they do have some success. If you are not aware of these things, you may want to hold you response for subjects that you have more knowledge. |
