the easiest thing to try is to put the cd in the drive without any compatibility, cancel the autoplay, open the mm7 directory on yer hdd and look for mm7.exe and directly run that file, not the setup or utility file that gets run via autoplay and the default icon

color should be set to 16 bit but i've had it work with 24 and 32 bit also

you want to make sure the setup utility is set to no hardware accelartion and then run mm7.exe file directly
