Thanks. Don't know who to get to do what your friend did.

When I try to log in now, I get the new game screen (trademark, etc.) and can choose characters. But when I hit OK, it goes back to my desktop. I have shut donw all external things I know to do, put in all the fixes proposed by Grumpy Dragon, I thing (new MM7 EXE file). The next step may take it all the way, any ideas?
