You actually need to touch some of the crystals to gain access to all the orbs of power. The best way to do it is to save your position before you start, make a note of which crystals age you, and then restore your position. Then you can replay the area, ignoring those crystals and using the others. From memory, the ones you need are all in the middle corridor, and are behind the harmful ones. You can, of course, save your game before touching each individual crystal and restore the position if it hurts, but that's a very long-winded way of doing it.
