but only with the cd-r driver (not the dvd) and sound was choppy, at that moment I had space problems so I happily uninstalled it and began playing MM8. When I tried to reinstall it nothing worked anymore. Weird...
For Mm8 I had to resort using a no-cd patch with the added bonus that I could play it with hardware mode and sound acceleration.
For Mm6 I had to use the deshrink trick of the dll file.
Well, I'll continue searching since each system is different and needs different solutions. I'm still happy I can play 3 out of 4 games (I cannot blame 3DO for not being XP compatible except if MM9 didn't work which is not the case).
Good luck with MM8 and if not maybe the no-cd option could help.
