Original Message:   About my FAQ update (opinions needed, please)
with a game like Might & Magic VII, a conventional walkthrough (as I have done in the past) just isn't going to cut it. The game is by far too open-ended in order to do something like that. So, what I have done instead, is created two sections. The major section will be an "atlas" of Erathia, so to speak, which goes into detail about each of the major regions in the game, and each subsection will cover all of the dungeons/areas contained within that region. Naturally, it'll have all of the important information pertaining to all of the quests (both where they are recieved and where they will take you). It'll also contain some degree of spoilers, but I'll try and have enough sense to keep stuff that happens later in the game as vague as possible as to avoid that sort of thing (e.g., one of the Path of Light main-line quests will take you to Tatalia).

This is what each entry/subentry into the "atalas" section will contain:

*Points of Interest (spell pedestals, wells, altars, quest items, etc.) *Enemies (the FAQ will also include a full bestiary for further reference) *Disarm Trap Value for this map *One to several paragraphs detailing any other useful/important information about the map

Preceeding THAT section of the FAQ will be the main "walkthrough" section, in which I will mention the quests, both main line, secondary, and possibly the pormotions (not sure about promotions yet) as they are presented to you in the game, and offer suggestions as to what would might be the most effcient/useful order to tackle them.

I'm actually thinking about just mentioning where promotion quests for each class are mentioned in section II. of the FAQ (in which I will go into each class in-depth). Who all thinks that's a good idea? And then I might make mention of them in the walkthrough, as well, where they are important (E.g., the Hunter promotion quest is a good quest to be done as soon as possible for lotsa of early-game experience/gold).

Also, any other suggestions for the FAQ at this time would be much appreciated.

P.S. Though I am diligently working on the FAQ whenever possible, please bear in mind that I am seeking employment at this time, and I am starting night school next week, so it's slow work, unfortunately.

P.P.S. I'm still interested in doing that whole patch thing, to whoever said he was going to help me out in my last topic.
