I found the cure for this was to open the Direct X Diagnostic Tool (can be opened through run and typing in 'dxdiag'), and then set the sound acceleration on the sound tab to no acceleration. This pretty much makes it sound normal, sometimes it does repeat a few times, but not often. I think this is a problem that only happens with computers with Windows XP. I did turn off sound acceleration in the MM7 setup, but i found it didnt do a lot. Lee B.
