Yes, they do. Moreover, you'll not be able to enter Mercenary Guild (unless you have a Lloyd's Beacon there). If you haven't finished the Ranger Lord quest so far then you can give it up. Therefore, if you see some Mr. Malwick somewhere then turn him back and kick his a** so that he will fly across the whole island. If you want his staff then proceed as usual:
1. Shoot a few arrows into the pack of dragonflies nearby.
2. "Drag" a few dragonflies behind your back around the shore and then around Mr. Malwick.
3. Take the wand from his dead corpse Note about timing: The Mercenary Guild messenger will not appear immediately in Harmondale. He will appear after 14 days or so after beginning the second phase of the game (Path of Light/Dark). In the other words, you CAN take the Mr. Malwick's offer if you are playing a "speed game". The game will be over in the time when the messenger will be about to appear. |
