Use the configuration utility to change video and audio. In M+M8 use the Software 3D option. And disable accelerated 3D audio.

If this doesn't work, it might be because the Window Registry hasn't updated the changes. So you might have to make changes to the registry. To do this:

1. click the start icon

2. click on the run icon

3. to the right of open type in regedit.

EXAMPLE

1. Click on

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\New World Computing\Might and Magic Day of the Destroyer\1.0

2. Double click the file

Disable3DSound

3. Change the number from 0 to 1
