Original Message:   I have a question about this
Just the opposite happened to me just now. I haven't played MM7 since I upgraded my video card and when I tried to play it crashed back to the desktop.

I tried all the suggested things, i.e. new account, reinstall, etc. - nothing worked.

Then it occured to me to check the video acceleration. I found, much to my amazement, that the installer had selected Hardware acceleration. On a prayer, I changed it to software acceleration . . and it worked!

My question (I'm a software dummy), If I try to edit my registry, per your instructions, will it work? I don't want to do something I can't fix. I really would, like you, like to play the game with hardware acceleration if possible. It wasn't possible with my old card (RIVA TNT model 64). My new card is NVidea GeForce 5200.
