I also reset the program properties for both MM7 and the patch to run under windows compatibility mode for windows 98.. can't remember who offered that suggestion, maybe I saw it in the archives. I've got xp pro on my laptop, and I wondered if the laptop itself might be part of the problem with some of the MM games.. it's a very powerful laptop, but evenso, sometimes it seems like it gets bogged down with the programs; the processor gets very hot and the fans are running high for extended periods.. seems like it slows the program down. movement on MM9 for instance can be jerky and frustrating sometimes, especially after playing for awhile. hafta refresh RAM occasionally, and close down any unnecessary background programs. sure do love these games. have a good one!
