I have XP, and it only runs right in software mode (which is alright by me, because IMO this game actually looks BETTER in software mode than with hardware acceleration turned on). In Windows 98 compatibility mode with hardware acceleration turned on, the sound is all garbled/overlapped. But like I said, I'm just playing it in software mode with no problems.
