Yes, I thought you were — and you're right. It's a very useful spell in MM7 for characters who only have access to Dark Magic at normal level.

From what I remember, both the Mirrored Path magics are horrendously expensive in terms of both money and spell points. I think buying the skill costs thousands, and the cheapest Dark spell costs 20 spell points — and there's only one of those. A low level party couldn't provide the resources.
