Actually, I wasn't trying for the EIW at that time. I was Saintly, had my characters learn Dark skill (without buying any spells.) We had donated at the Temple that morning. Since it was now near midnight, we teleported back to New Sorpigal via Lloyd's. The next morning we were Glorious. Donating, by all members, didn't raise it back to Saintly. So I went back to a previous save, THEN went to EIW, and got Master for all three. (Didn't cost anything except ship fare--why not?) After that, I went back and got Dark for all three. I think maybe I'll nuke those dratted Druids.
