| . . . in tranches of 500 gp, and my experience is that the chest will give you that amount if you have less that 10,000 gp on you. I once banked everything to leave carrying 0 gp, and the chest gave me 10,000 gp and then stopped. I've not tried this experiment exactly, but I reckon that if your party had 9,999 gp with it, the chest would make that up to 10,499 gp. |
