IIRC, they are closer to where Town Portal drops your party. I seem to remember finding the ones in The Pit less convenient for some reason that I cannot bring to mind just now. Isn't one (or two?) of the shops off in another zone somewhere? And I don't recall Deyja having a full set of shops.
