The music files are stored as conventional audio files as on a regular audio CD. The data files are stored in a Windows data format. I'm not sure what bit of software reads such discs. If forced I'd guess it's part of the Smacker tools. You'd need the last official version of those tools to play the game on WinXP. Someone might have modified them for later versions of Windows. Please let us know what you learn.
